AMY WALLEN (HOST) is the author of the Los Angeles Times bestselling novel MoonPies and Movie Stars, and is a writer-in-residence at the New York State Summer Writers Institute. She lectures and teaches creative writing in programs across the country, including the University of California, San Diego Extension, and at private workshops. In addition to writing the occasional book review for the LA Times, Amy is the host of DimeStories Live, the popular monthly showcase reading series in conjunction with the radio show. JAMES R. SPRING (CONTRIBUTING EDITOR) is a writer based in San Diego. A former foreign correspondent for Cox Newspapers, he now contributes to National Public Radio programs, including This American Life, and he's been featured in radio expeditions for Atlantic Public Media.
